Emma Mason has been a lawyer for 25 years and currently works as an Independent Children’s Lawyer and advocate, representing the voices and best interests of children in complex family law matters. Through her work in the Family Court, she has witnessed the significant impact of conflict, trauma, and systemic pressures on young people and their families.
Her advocacy extends beyond the courtroom to national and global conversations on child safety, particularly online, work driven by the tragic loss of her daughter, Matilda “Tilly” Rosewarne. At 15, Tilly died by suicide following sustained online bullying, including image-based abuse—an experience that has shaped Emma’s commitment to preventing similar harm to other families.
